How does the PRF therapy work?

During the PRF therapy, about 2 – 4 vials of blood are taken from the arm, like a regular blood test, and the blood sample is placed into a centrifuge to isolate the platelets, white blood cells, fibrin, and stem cells. There is minimal pain associated with this treatment.

The concentrated PRF is then reinjected into the facial skin via a fine needle to give you a smoother, plumper, and more youthful appearance by relaxing the muscles responsible for forming the wrinkles. Depending on the area of the face being treated, the whole procedure will take about 45 – 60 minutes.

After your PRF procedure

Immediately after the treatment, there are chances of mild swelling and bruising that may last a few hours. It will resolve without any intervention And because there is no downtime, you can immediately return to your normal daily routine.

How many PRF injections will I require?

PRF procedure is typically performed in a series of sessions spaced between 6 – 8 weeks. The number of PRF injections depends on the facial areas being treated. So, if you’re targeting multiple areas of the face, you may require more than one injection, which your medical practitioners will administer gradually one after the other.

When will I see the results?

The results of the PRF injections are not immediate and will start being visibly noticeable after 7 days, but the full effects don’t become fully apparent until after 14 days post treatment.

Will my face turn icy and stationary after PRF injections?
