Vascular lesions
are the skin imperfections that one can have since birth or can appear in adulthood as a sign of aging. Sometimes called “birthmarks”, these abnormalities of the skin and the underlying tissue are categorized into three branches: Hemangiomas,
Vascular Malformations, and Pyogenic Granulomas. With our technologically advanced and innovative laser system you can say
goodbye to these undesired vascular lesions that often look like bruises and blemishes.
Say Hello to Clearer Skin
Our laser system treats many types of vascular lesions, with the added comfort of an integrated burst of cool air on the laser treatment area. The precise practice of using our high tech hand pieces results in an accurate and effective outcome; lesions with red or purplish hues begin to fade away. While the procedure may sound painful with the laser light penetrating deep into the skin, you’ll only experience a bit of pain which is remarkably well tolerated .
How does the Nd:YAG laser work?
The entire process of Vascular Lesions Treatment using the much revered and trusted Nd:YAG laser does wonders on the targeted areas on the skin by producing high intensity light to selectively heat blood vessels. First, the concentrated laser beam is penetrated 5 – 6 mm deep into the skin which is deep enough to target the blood vessels.
This laser system creates homogenous heating resulting in marking the blood vessels only — while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. The laser then carefully induces vessel collapse through the process of coagulation on the areas
that need to be treated.
The heat from the laser breaks down the damaged walls of capillaries which then collapse in on themselves which is then reabsorbed by the body. It’s a win-win situation as you get rid of the hued skin. This will also not have any effect on the overlying skin structures.
How long does it take to show results?
You can see the results soon after the treatment and will be able to return to your normal daily routine the day of your treatment. You should avoid harsh sun and apply a powerful SPF-rich cream.
How many sessions will I need?
You can get immediate clinical results after the first session. For more dramatic results, you should arrange an additional 3 – 4 appointments, depending upon the density of the affected area.
What side effects can I expect?
The non-invasive clinical procedure has no major side effects. You may experience some redness and minor swelling up to 3 days. Avoid long exposure to the sun.
How do I prepare for my vascular lesions treatment?
Do not use tanning products 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Avoid medications and supplements that may make bruising more evident, like aspirin, fish oil supplements or any prescription with blood-thinning properties (please check with your prescribing physician before discontinuing).
Is the procedure painful?
Patients describe the minor discomfort like a pinprick or feeling like an elastic band is snapping against your skin.
While the pain is exceptionally well tolerated, a numbing topical cream is applied before the procedure to prevent any uneasiness or discomfort.
